Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Great service! Food was good, tasty. I thought the kids Mac n cheese was gross tho. ( the kid didn't like it either) It had that orange "cheez whiz" like stuff on it. For a $5 meal that was not good. The shrimp Alfredo was good. We also had baked ravioli. It was so-so. Have breadsticks, they are the best. We didn't on this trip. We had garlic cheese bread. It was ciabatta bread sliced thin with cheese on top. Eh! Not my thing.

I'd say the food quality is right up there with Olive Garden with the breadsticks being even better than theirs! I love the adult atmosphere but it still takes care of the kids by using the tablecloths as a personal art experience. Prices are fair as well

This Italian restaurant ranks as one of my favorites! I have visited this one more than a dozen times. Our last visit, we had an amazing server who did an excellent job serving all 14 of us. He deserved a 30% tip. Their bread sticks are the best I have ever had!! YUMMY!! This restaurant has a great atmosphere that is nice enough for a romantic date night. Their wine room is something to brag about. If you have never made it over to Ziano's on Maysville Rd in the Chapel Ridge complex, you are missing out. Keep it up!!

A taste of Italy. The food is wonderful. I have tried a sandwich, Chicken Alfredo and Lasagna and have not been disappointed. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. mouth watering chocolates to purchase at the end of the meal makes it a great place to dine with friends, family or business associates.

Great service. Great food. Breadsticks are cheap (99¢) and (I would argue) the best in Fort Wayne. I can't speak for a lot of the pasta dishes, but the pizza is very good.

I feel like everything was dripping with oil. The service was horrible! My brother and I waited for a very long time for food that was not at all worth the wait.

Ziano's was recommended by a friend. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Patrons are of different ages; all seemed to be having a good time. Bread sticks and dips are sinfully good. The pasta and entrees are tasty but a bit greasy. Soups and salads are fresh, but nothing special. I would not say the dishes are very authentic Italian, but portions are large. Perhaps that's why it is always so crowded.

This restaurant is VERY spacious with a wonderful atmosphere! The breadsticks are the best I've ever had. Hostess and servers are very friendly. Very clean and inviting. Overall best Italian restaurant around:))

I love this place! There breadsticks and salad are to die for! Especially if you get Alfredo dipping sauce for the breadsticks. One of my favorite places. If I had company from out of town and was trying to impress them with quality food and service. This would be the first place I'd think of.

Sorry, guys, but there is absolutely nothing special about this place. I mean, aside from the breadsticks I suppose, which are a steal at $0.99. But the salads? Entrees? Totally run-of-the-mill. My wife got chicken marsala and I got chicken pesto alfredo along with a Caesar salad to go last Sunday night. Each of us were running for the spice cabinet after one bite. It's a shame, too, since there's a location so close to home. Sad to say we probably won't be back.

We came to this location expecting a decent meal. We have ate the west location and had a pleasant experience. So we walk in and are greeted and seated. There are only three tables filled. Waitresses and hostess's standing around talking. We were completely ignored. Two more tables come in and are served water. We were not served water. We were completely ignored no eye contact for another 5min. We get up and leave. The hostess that sat us 10min prior said have a good night. Good thing B-Dubs is next door.

Breadsticks and garlic bread are superb. Had delicious spaghetti and meatballs, marinara and meat sauce very tasty. Caesar salad was very oily but tatted fine. Service was friendly and efficient.

I was conducting business in the area and it was just about supper time. My party of 3 decided to skip fast food and go for a nice sit-down dinner. Yelp directed me to the next exit along the highway and we ended up here. When we first walked in, we were greeted and taken to a booth in one of the back sections. This made for a cozy arrangement, both for us and the other patrons throughout the restaurant. We had a youngster with us and he was given crayons to occupy his time, as the tablecloths were covered with white paper, allowing him to color at his heart's content. We were seated with menus in hand and everything on the list sounded good. Shortly thereafter, our server Kristen arrived and took our drink orders. She found out we were out-of-towners, stopping in for the 1st time. She suggested the bread sticks appetizer. This turned out to be an excellent choice, as the bread sticks were absolutely fantastic, with 5 of them covering a dinner platter. Not only were they delicious, but as 1st timers, they were complimentary. Wow, we're off to a good start! The little guy ordered macaroni and cheese from the kid's menu. It came with his selection of applesauce and his drink. One of the two remaining adults ordered the Dinner Shells Special in a white sauce, with a salad, as listed on the white board near the main entrance.. The other meal we ordered was the Fontanini Sausage and Pepper pasta meal. Both adult meals were excellent in taste and completely covered the dinner platters. With garlic toast to accompany each meal, you can be assured we were completely satisfied at the conclusion of our meals. Throughout the meal, Kristen checked in on us to make sure everything was alright. Her service was attentive, but not overly so - just right. Somewhere along the way, we asked about a military discount. I showed my ID (I do this always, even though I am rarely asked) and was pleasantly surprised when a 15% discount showed on the bill. A sincere "thank you" to Ziano's Italian Eatery for their patriotic support of our military, past and present. You can bet I will return for a repeat visit.

"Nice to see you again" is the charming yet awkward, well-rehearsed greeting every hostess will say when entering a Ziano's restaurant. I drove 30 minutes across town to the Northeast Ziano's after a failed attempt at the original Southwest location (absolutely no waiting area on a Friday night in the winter). The NE Ziano's location is extremely spacious however, a proud third installment of this very successful local Fort Wayne eatery. This chain is a great alternative to the more expensive Italian restaurants like Olive Garden or Biaggi's. Begin with the breadsticks for an inexpensive 99¢, and you are immediately introduced to both quality and value. All traditional Italian dishes are served on the menu: spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan..along with the tasty unorthodox Tomato Gorgonzola bisque appetizer. Overall the food is very well done. If you have room for dessert, don't hesitate in ordering the chocolate chip cookie.
